You can! Virginia College's Salon Management program helps transform your talent for hair, nail or skin care into a rewarding career as a salon manager or salon owner. This program gives licensed cosmetologists the opportunity to learn the business, marketing and management skills needed while earning an associate degree.
Managing or owning a salon opens a world of opportunity and new earning potential. You'll lead and encourage others, find ways to attract new clients, and operate professionally. From a one-person shop in an assisted living facility, to a hair design studio in a day spa, to a multi-chair salon in your favorite city…your opportunities in the field are unlimited. But you need the right training!
This Program Helps You to:
- Understand and follow laws, rules, and regulations of the Board of Cosmetology
- Interact successfully with customers and build a clientele
- Conduct typical business transactions
- Communicate, analyze, and perform cosmetology services in a professional manner

Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas are required by South Carolina and Georgia to be listed as Certificates (C).
Associate of Science degrees (AS) are required by SC, TN & VA to be listed as Associated of Applied Science degrees (AAS).
Associate of Applied Science degrees (AAS) are required by LA & VA to be listed as Associate in Occupational Studies degees (AOS).
Bachelor of Science degrees (BS) are required by TN to be listed as Bachelor of Applied Science degrees (BAS).
