If you enjoy working with people, and want a solid, flexible future, then you should consider the new Barber Stylist program at Virginia College. This program gives you the training you need to prepare you to take the Board of Barber Examiners licensing examination.
Like all Virginia College programs, you get practical, hands-on technical training while you learn about laws, rules and regulations that pertain to the field. And you will learn on the same equipment you will use when you begin your new career. Classes are generally taught by those working in the field, people who know what employers are looking for.
Once you complete your studies (in as little as 15 months) and pass the examination, you may find yourself working in a shop or salon, at a resort or on a cruise ship, or even in a motion picture or television studio. Or maybe in your own business.
