Virginia College in Birmingham Ribbon Cutting and Open House

Posted: Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Virginia College in Birmingham held a ribbon cutting and open house Thursday, March 12, 2009 to showcase its new Palisades campus and career center. Last fall, Virginia College began a phased moving process from its existing classrooms and offices into the new 90,000-square-foot campus facility at The Palisades Shopping Center on Oxmoor Road.  This new state-of-the-art campus represents an investment of more than $8 million.

City officials, business leaders and community members gathered at Virginia College in  Birmingham to learn how the career center is helping students and Birmingham businesses. Admissions counselors and instructors gave tours of the campus, classrooms, labs and Culinard kitchen.
