Virginia College Student Benefits from "Random Act of Goodness"

Posted: Thursday, August 13, 2009

A Virginia College student knows exactly what she wants to do with the money she received as part of a national restaurant chain's "Random Act of Goodness" campaign.  Marzetta Tolber says she is going to invest it in her education.

On August 14, Harsha V. Agadi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Church's Chicken, will officially round out the 10-city Random Acts of Goodness initiative in Atlanta, Georgia, the hometown of the restaurant chain's headquarters. Random Acts of Goodness occur when Church's executives surprise a randomly selected Church's customer with $1,000 of "no-strings" cash to pay bills or pay it forward. Or to make a solid investment in his or her education.

Since the Random Acts of Goodness began, executives from Church's Chicken have traveled across the nation giving away thousands of dollars to customers as a way to say "thank you."
