Virginia College at Birmingham Network Engineering Faculty Visit Microsoft Headquarters

Three staff members from Virginia College's Birmingham, Alabama campus were recently chosen to attend the "Get Ready to Teach Windows Server 2008." The event was held at the Microsoft Corporate Headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Ginger Ray, James Holt, and James Rhand attended the event, where they participated in sessions concerning the job market outlook for information technology professionals, curricula planning, course delivery, and the value of obtaining information certifications.
Virginia College in Birmingham is a Microsoft IT Academy program member, which adds value to classroom instruction at the school. Students are able to utilize online courseware and reference materials that reinforce the materials taught in the classroom.
