The Network Technician program and Golf Course Management program at Virginia College Online have been placed on student achievement show-cause by its accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”), due to material noncompliance with its placement rate standard of 60%.
I worked full-time, so I just didn’t have the ability to go to a brick and mortar college. I think people think if you’re not there face-to-face you won’t have access to your instructors, but I did. I could shoot them a question on my lunch break and usually by the time I got home I would have an answer. I’m a really big fan of the online format.
