Chris has had a passion for cooking since he was a kid. He even studied culinary arts in high school. Then his father kicked him out of the house and he was left homeless and without an income.
Marcia had a four-year degree, but found herself drifting from one job to another. She never found anything she really wanted to do. And after having a child and being a stay-at-home mom for over a year, she realized that being out of the job market had made her career search even more difficult.
Lena was a single mom with three kids who was tired of not being able to make ends meet. She had always wanted to work in the medical field, so she enrolled in the Virginia College Medical Assistant program.
“In high school, I just had a lot of fun, so I never knew what I was capable of,” Jeremy says.
